I love listening to motown, it gets me moving and grooving!
Hey Happy Birthday Week!!
I love the topic of music, I could not live without it. I am currently inspired by the new Dan Auerbach album Keep It Hid. The entire album is fantastic. Also digging the new Peter Bjorn and John song "Nothing To Worry About" off of the Living Thing album.

cool print!
I love CCR - Creedence clearwater Revival! For some reason Less than Jake and Nora Jones also do it for me. I know none of them match, but hey I am a random person so it's ok!
Hugs,Liz K
I have a really random mix of music I like to listen to while working. From Kings of Leon to Stevie Wonder to The Beta Band to Jay-Z... Random, yes, but they all keep me moving.

I love to listen to the radio--my favorite is KZSC the college radio station in Santa Cruz, CA where I grew up. They have a great variety of shows: some of my fav's: Unfiltered Camels (middle eastern), the Golden Road (Grateful Dead archives), Indie Babies (indie rock) & many, many more. I now listen to them online. I also listen to my ipod and turn up the volume to Cat Power, Cold Play and Radiohead....

Right now I'm listening to Badly Drawn Boy.
Oh, I forgot about Badly Drawn Boy until Holly mentioned it! Besides that:
The Rolling Stones, Blind Pilot (The Story I Heard and One Red Thread), Dr. Dog, Teenage Fanclub (It's All In My Mind and many more), The Cure, Andrew Bird, Elliot Smith, Amy Mann, and that song that we both like called Heart It Races (as played by Dr. Dog) by Architecture in Helskini. I find my best stuff on Pandora! I'm so sad that it isn't working on your new mac. It is a tragedy. Maybe that could be your birthday wish... : )
what a fun giveaway, btw!
We've tried to explain records to the boys - they just don't get it.
I love any music from the 70's, but my favorite would probably be Elvis, or maybe BTO.

I listen to George Jones b/c it reminds me of Barb.
anything by REM. Esp "Automatic for the People"... Great question!!
I'm listening to Tool right now because I broke my rule of no coffee after 1pm. zoom zoom zoom!
Anything by Zep, Pink Floyd, Tool, King Crimson, Metallica, etc.
Awesome question!!

Great tunes!!! I am loving this!
I am totally like Dogwood. Very random when it comes to music.
Right now, I have got a mixture of Lil Wayne, Kings of Leon, Tricky, and Two Gallants playing :)
Love that Nesta is listening to TOOL with coffee. Great combo!
I love Tandie's work! Today I am listening to Jack Johnson - I used to have SO many records but my little brother stole most!
Cat I. =^..^=
I love to listen to random mp3s, because if I hear the same thing twice too often, it really drives me nuts! I have a lot of Radiohead and also 80s music on my computer :)

I need my mp3 player when I am painting or sewing. It helps me focus and drown out the world.
Some of my fave artists on my wildly eclectic playlist include the Supremes, Pat Benetar, Beautiful South, and Nickelback.

I love Led Zeppelin. A couple of my favorite songs also are Life by the Drop by Stevie Ray Vaughn and Evolve by Ani Difranco.

Omaha, Nebraska
I am currently obsessed with DeVotchKa and Beirut.
That's funny that 2 people mentioned Badly Drawn Boy because that's what I am listening to right now:)
But, you know . . . I like so much music. I always need to listen to Fleetwood Mac at least once a week. Tusk is a great album.
I also listen to techno when I need to get into a trance and paint hard!
I'm sort of a pop/alt rock kinda gal. Even while sitting, my booty will shake to Muse, Goldfrapp, Snow Patrol...and a million others from today and spanning the decades past. I never poo-poo the power-pop single... even for bands I "don't like"... bring it on! Just make sure it's got some technical merit, a smart hook, a certain je ne sais quoi to the voice and some decent lyrics.
