I have this vintage, teak wood dining set that desperately needs reupholstered. I scored this set at my favorite thrift for a steal! It was super cheap due to having one leg missing from one of the captain's chairs. I was lucky to have the leg replaced by an amazing antique dealer who sells right here in central Tucson. If you are a local or are visiting, I definitely recommend dropping by Copper Country Antiques and checking out the Dwell 101 booth!
Now that the set is complete, it is ready for some updated fabric. This is where suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I have been overwhelmed with my search and would love to get outside opinions. I do know what I can't use. White or light shades won't work due to one of the chairs being equipped with Mia's booster.

I had that same problem when covering my chairs b/c most of my fabrics have white and it would be impractical. I went with the one that didn't, which is great for a kitchen but not for a dining room. Maybe you can commission Home Sweet to do a special color option for you?
Oh:) I do love that Home Sweet shop! Perhaps I will ask. I was also thinking about vintage table cloths. Afraid that it would take away from the clean simplicity of the set, though.....
How ironic that I posted about a similar dilemma this week. Just don't do something that would take away from that gorgeous wood! Maybe a gray to make that wood pop even more? The wood on my stuff isn't great, so I'm probably going to paint it. Good luck!

What I was going to say, before I got distracted, was that Country Living had a good family-friendly chair covering tip: use one nice fabric to over the backs of the chairs and a coordinating workhorse-type fabric (they used naugahyde) for the chair fronts and seats. oh my goodness. gorgeousness! Could you print fabric for a completely, one of a kind piece? At the very least, maybe you could create something special for the backs of each chair?
