Lately, I have been thinking seriously about color combinations. I have been working on a collection for a while now and am just about ready to print. I am planning on offering soft furnishings like pillow covers and tea towels.
So, all I need to do now is figure out the colors. This is the most difficult part! I do think that I have found an answer to my color making decisions. It seems that curating an Etsy Treasury is severely addictive yet extremely helpful. Other than showcasing amazing talent from all of those incredible sellers, one can actually get a glimpse of color trends.
I recently played around with a color combo and scored a treasury. The colors were lavender and orange. Click on the screen shot to get a better view. The result was quite good. It made the front page and lots of great Etsians commented on the colors. So, should I use the combo?
I am also wondering if it would be a good idea to possibly install a color combo poll.
Please comment if you have any suggestions. I am screen printing with 2 colors, max....
Perhaps I should install the poll once I post a pic of one of my designs. I don't know, we shall see....

lavender is one of my least favorite colors, but if it's almost gray and paired with orange I'm all for it. And I would have never known that if it hadn't been for you. thanks!
