Face!

Sometimes I feel like this.....

The photo is from the movie, American Psycho. Christian Bale plays, Patrick Bateman, who is a psychopathic serial killer with some serious OCD. The movie is based on the book by, Brett Easton Ellis. I really enjoyed the book and must state the all too common opinion that it was much better than the film. I had to use this photo because it is probably my favorite scene in the movie. Bale goes through his daily beauty regimen. Insane! Yet, now that I am 31, I am starting to relate.

I have recently made the switch to Bare Minerals makeup and actually enjoy it! It does look very natural and is a nice change from liquid thickness on my face. The thing is, when you use Bare, you must clean your brushes regularly and the act of putting on makeup is quite the event. Swirl, tap, apply..... Swirl, tap, apply...... SWIRL, TAP, APPLY!!!!

I have also switched facial cleansers. Since I was going with more natural ingredients, I thought that my cleanser should be the same. So, I went on the hunt for organic beauty products. After, tons of magazine suggestions that were all way to pricey, I turned to Etsy. I am glad that I did! I found the most wonderful products from a seller by the name of Spa Goddess! I tried out her samples which were so very refreshing and then bought her skin care regimen. I am so in love with the cleansing grains! I am completely serious when I say that I have never had better skin! Everything is so fresh and natural. The lavender serum is a complete joy to experience!

I guess that even though I might feel like I am going a bit nuts with beauty products, at least I have found the right ones! I have to mention that Spa Goddess is having a great sale right now. Please check out the shop and buy up a few samples. You won't regret it:)

FRONT PAGE!!

Just clicked onto Etsy and saw my treasury on the front page! woohooo!

I love all of the artists featured. Amazing gifts for the guys..... Unfortunately, my husband hates to shop. Have you seen the products for guys at your local mall? They are dreadful. Etsy actually provides amazing products that any man would be happy to buy, receive as a gift, or just browse. I think Etsy might just be the answer to my husbands shopping woes! Look out!

The treasury is dedicated to my Dave:) I need to master the old screen shot. Just click on to see the larger view....

Blog Feature!

I have gotta share my latest blog feature. I was suprized this afternoon to recieve a convo from the amazing Kate of the Etsy shop Shutterkate. She informed me that she featured my "Circle the Date" patches on her blog, Eco Craftiness. You can find this blog listed under my faves. Also, under my latest faves is her wonderful shop!

She knits the most fabulous accessories. Her color choices are superb and all of her creations are modern and fun. I went to check out her bio. and really enjoyed what she had to say.

"Creating things is a passion of mine. I'm not sure why I take such pleasure in the act. Perhaps it has to do with the general awesome feeling that arises from self-sufficiency combined with creativity. At any rate, knitting, in particular, is where my heart lies." Kate

So, check out her shop. If you are anything like me, you will LOVE IT!!!!

I just had to share my little morning convo that I recieved on Etsy. It was Amy from the shop Always Amy. She emailed to let me know that she featured my "Circle the Date" patches on her blog. I was so happy to here that little bit of news. I then went over to her blog and literally read and read and read!!! Currently, she has this incredibly helpful article on how to start sending news letters to Etsy clients. If you have an Etsy shop, you must read!

Also, check out the Always Amy shop! Not only did her kind words make me smile..... all of her creations are bound to put a grin on your face. The photos are just a few of my faves:) Have a wonderful weekend!

TREASURY!!!!

I have been featured in a really cool treasury on Etsy! The artist who curated it is simply amazing! Check out her shop, uncorked. Total eye candy!! This gal makes the best little goodies out of cork.

Her description below is severely impressive and makes me want to snatch up everything that she offers.

"Cork is the bark of the cork oak tree. My cork is grown in managed forests in Portugal and Spain where the bark is carefully harvested, once every nine years, in a centuries-old tradition with hand tools and without fertilizers or pesticides; a process that ensures the forests will remain undamaged!"

I love these necklaces! The first is a personalized Mom pendant. The mini cork can incorporate your little one's name. The second one would make the coolest wedding gift ever! The mini can have any names applied.

Visit her shop. You will SWOON...

Oh yeah, check out the treasury too:)
